Biden: Bernie Sanders Is ‘Going To Endorse’ Hillary Clinton
Bernie Sanders’s ongoing effort to avoid endorsing Hillary Clinton for president until the Democratic National Convention hit another hurdle Thursday, when Vice President Biden told NPR that Sanders was quickly coming around. “The Democrats are coalescing even before this occurs”.
It appears that the final dregs of the Bernie Sanders campaign are still hanging on tightly to their principals as Sanders corrected the record this week about whether or not he plans to endorse Secretary Hillary Clinton for the presidency.
An announcement Wednesday about their visit didn’t disclose details but said Obama and the Democratic presidential candidate “will discuss building on the progress we’ve made and their vision for an America that is stronger together”.
While Clinton is still leading by a small margin, these numbers are too close to call, as many American voters say neither candidate would be a good president. Bernie Sanders, who told him that he would endorse Hillary Clinton. “Here’s what Secretary Clinton is saying on this issue and that issue” replied Sanders.
“So far he has been riding a wave of good feelings in the sense he ran an incredible campaign”, said former North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad, whose time in the Senate overlapped with both Sanders and Clinton, who was a NY senator from 2001 through 2009. “I hope that we can reach that goal. We are not there at this moment”.
“I want North Atlantic Treaty Organisation to be involved”, Trump said. The best thing he can do for Clinton to try and alleviate that sentiment, he says, is “vouching for her”.
With a few bumps in the campaign trail over the last few weeks, Trump was trailing Clinton in several areas and 51 percent of Republicans indicated they would prefer a different nominee, the Fox poll showed.
Meanwhile, Biden pitches Clinton in Scranton, his hometown.
“I think the bottom line is simply that both the president and the attorney general understand how important it is for the Department of Justice to conduct investigations that are free of political interference”, Earnest told reporters.
