Sanders’ success in the primary and the subsequent rise in support for Medicare-for-all caught some by surprise.
He preferred Sanders to Clinton early on because he thought the former’s “opening bid” of policies was stronger.
The platform-drafting committee on June 24 voted down an amendment opposing the TPP that had been proposed by Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, a Sanders delegate on the panel. If they don’t, the energy of young people that Sanders tapped into during this campaign will either go to waste or find a home elsewhere.

On that, each of the delegates agreed.

He says that includes Sanders’ top issues of income inequality and campaign finance reform.
