Going To The Party Convention, But Not For The Presumptive Nominee

Frankly, I do not understand why the amendment our delegates offered on this issue in St. Louis was defeated with all of Hillary Clinton’s committee members voting against it.

The senator has said a couple of times during his candidacy that he’s prepared to do everything within his power to defeat Donald Trump and elect the Democratic ticket. He ran for Stillwater Town Board past year.

Sanders’ success in the primary and the subsequent rise in support for Medicare-for-all caught some by surprise.

He preferred Sanders to Clinton early on because he thought the former’s “opening bid” of policies was stronger.

The platform-drafting committee on June 24 voted down an amendment opposing the TPP that had been proposed by Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, a Sanders delegate on the panel. If they don’t, the energy of young people that Sanders tapped into during this campaign will either go to waste or find a home elsewhere.

On that, each of the delegates agreed.
