Dwyane Wade to sign with Bulls
He sought what he felt was fair compensation as Miami’s best – albeit aging – franchise cornerstone after averaging 19.0 points and 4.6 assists per game last season. Golden State has an unfair level of talent now on its team, and even though it seems unfair its a problem other National Basketball Association franchises have to face.
Contract negotiations between Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat have reportedly hit a rough patch and now fans are salivating at the idea of Wade signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers and reuniting with his former South Beach pal, LeBron James.
Wade meeting with Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron James became a hot topic yesterday.
Denver reportedly was offering as much as $52 million over two years.
Wednesday was supposed to be an important day in the Dwyane Wade sweepstakes.
The most-interesting aspect of this report is that Wade is apparently “serious” about the Bulls as a potential destination. This time, he is purportedly in the process of signing a deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Bulls had been gaining momentum on landing Wade and believed they had a trade partner willing to take on Jose Calderon to clear salary-cap space, sources told ESPN.com. They have young talent in Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson to surround Whiteside with, but it’s hard to envision a Heat team without Wade. He is a career 38 percent 3-point shooter who was limited to 31 games last season because of back surgery last summer. Brian Windhorst of ESPN reports that the 34-year-old is seeking $50 million over two seasons, which is significantly more than what Miami has offered. But with the addition of Durant, who trails only Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain in career points per game, Golden State’s attack becomes even more unsafe.
Wade found himself writing again Wednesday, this time to say farewell.
