Spider-Man: Homecoming Casts The Nice Guys’ Angourie Rice
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Angourie Rice (The Nice Guys) is the latest actress to join the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Rice had her breakout performance earlier this year in Shane Black’s brilliant comedy The Nice Guys, and despite being in the company of Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe she gave a memorable performance as Holly, daughter of Gosling’s Holland March reported by CelebrityInsider Source.
Jon Watts will direct, based on a screenplay by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige are producing.
The massive cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming also includes Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Kenneth Choi, Hannibal Buress, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Tony Revolori and Zendaya. Now on set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in Atlanta, the young actor is throwing a few punches with a trainer and the hard work appears to be paying off.
Wouldn’t this be unbelievable with Tom Holland and Angourie Rice in the roles of Peter and Gwen?
Both Howard and Emma Stone played older versions of the character, but as Spider-Man: Homecoming will be set primarily at high school, Rice is the ideal age to play Tom Holland’s classmate and potential love interest in the MCU. The Australian native also starred in “Nowhere Boys: The Book of Shadows” and in “Jasper Jones” opposite Hugo Weaving and Toni Collette. She’s repped by WME and Catherine Poulton Management in Australia.
