Clinton, Obama, stand-ins emphasize her trustworthiness
So pervasive has the image been that her opponents have only to utter buzzwords like “Whitewater” – the name of the Clintons’ failed land deal in which neither was implicated in wrongdoing – to invoke the image of what Trump terms, “Crooked Hillary”. “There would be doubts bordering on panic about “What It All Means for Clinton” going into the fall campaign, and she would have very little time to turn the story back in her favor”, he added. The White House says Obama will say he believes Clinton has the “character, the toughness, skills, and experience” to be president.
There’s a scenario where Clinton herself doesn’t face a grand jury, but several of her top aides like Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, now trusted campaign confidants, could be charged. In recent years, the percentage has been between a quarter and a third.
The attorney general was appointed by Clinton as a USA attorney in 1999 and many say that it was a grave mistake for Mr. Clinton to walk to Lynch’s plane for a conversation and for Lynch to allow him to come aboard for any kind of conversation.
The FBI interviewed Hillary Clinton on Saturday about her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state, her campaign announced after the meeting, as federal investigators neared the end of the probe that has hung over her White House bid.
For months Hillary Clinton Supporters have been saying that all true Democrats have a responsibility to the liberal cause, the Democratic Party, and to America to support Hillary Clinton to prevent Donald Trump from becoming President of the United States. “I don’t think anything inappropriate was done”, Clinton said of her e-mail practices in an April 3 interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press”. Though she said she had already settled on that process, her statement came days after an impromptu meeting with Bill Clinton on her airplane in Phoenix that she acknowledged had led to questions about the neutrality of the investigation.
Republican Trump also suffers from a lack of trust, stemming from opposite circumstances: his political inexperience and impulsive style. The matter was referred for investigation last July by the inspectors general for the State Department and intelligence community following the discovery of emails that they said contained classified information.
The FBI is investigating the potential mishandling of sensitive information.
Clinton’s interview with the Federal Bureau of Investigation sparked reactions, coming as it did only three weeks before her expected nomination at the Democratic National Convention. It’s the president’s first appearance with his former secretary of state during the 2016 campaign.
The emails were routed through a server located in the basement of Clinton’s NY home during her tenure as the nation’s top diplomat from 2009 to 2013. They did not discuss the Department of Justice’s review.
Dozens of the emails sent or received by Clinton through her private server were later determined to contain classified material.
An indictment itself wouldn’t technically disqualify Clinton from running, obtaining the party’s nomination or winning the election in November. She’s going to work very, very hard to do that.
The Justice Department has been looking into whether anyone mishandled classified information that flowed through Clinton’s email server.
