How Rude! Olsen Twins Still “Teetering” on Fuller House Participation
The series re-unites most of the cast from the 1980’s Full House series except for the Olsen twins, who have previously said they would not appear in the reboot. But, Variety reported the Olsen twins may get involved in the show, according to Netflix boss Ted Sarandos at TCA press tour in Beverly Hills.
Netflix has come a long way since the 2013 launch of House of Cards, with the over-the-top service set to offer 475 hours of original programming this year, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said.
Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) announced back in April that it would be reviving the popular 1990s show Full House with much of the original cast including Bob Saget, John Stamos and Dave Coulier. “There’s a bunch of opportunity for them if they choose to”. I assumed a presence was going to be some throwaway line about how Michelle was off being a world traveler or dating a French banker or something.
If you’re lying to us, Netflix, we have just one thing to say: How rude! Will they mine the obvious comedy vein for twin magic sight gags pulled on an Uncle Joey slowly losing his mind?
Sarandos promised audiences that “Fuller House” would still embody the “same spirit as the original, but with a modern take” – with or without the Olsen’s involvement. We already know a ton of people are going to be back for Fuller House. And a now-deleted photo from Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit’s Instagram hints that he will reprise his role as Alex, one of Jesse and Becky’s twins.
But sadly, there is another character, besides Michelle Tanner, who for the moment appears MIA from the Fuller House spinoff.
