Watch Three New Clips for “Jason Bourne”
Hollywood star Matt Damon on Friday promised some “great action” in the highly-anticipated upcoming “Jason Bourne” film, citing fight scenes and a huge vehicle chase as he reprises the role of the super spy.
You alright? Me either.
He added, “People get so emotional that even when you make a suggestion about not selling AK-47s to people on terror watch lists, that’s a non-starter”.
“Jason Bourne” – the fifth installment of the franchise – hits movie theaters on July 27, starring Damon as a conflicted, restless hero who resurfaces at the Greek-Macedonian border a decade after going off the grid.
Damon was 29 when he first played the role of Bourne and has expressed the difficulties that he finds playing the role at an older age, “It’s hard when you’re 45 compared to when you’re 29, but you still have to run as fast as you can”. I’m in my mid-40s now and, believe me, it doesn’t get any easier!” says Matt. “This was a very physical movie to shoot, as all the Bournes are. While we don’t exactly know where the franchise will go from here, Matt Damon teased in a new interview that he knows he’ll be replaced by a younger actor, eventually. “That happens to everybody and they reboot these things, and that’s totally fine”, he said. It was heavily hinted at in a previous trailer that some shady business about Bourne’s father and mass surveillance made him pissed off enough at the Operation Treadstone goons to get back on the grid. In MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE movies it’s still Jason Bourne.
As part of the promotion efforts for the film, the actor will also appear in the local daily news program “Newsroom” on JTBC. The vehicular match-up sees Vincent Cassel’s unnamed agent pitted against Matt Damon’s Bourne, as Cassel commandeers an armored SWAT vehicle, while Damon is driving a modern muscle auto, in hot pursuit against traffic.
Do you agree that “Jason Bourne” is more relatable than James Bond?
The result is Jason Bourne, a picture that saw Damon officially working as a screenwriter alongside Greengrass and Christopher Rouse as the scripts for Ultimatum and Supremacy were largely finalized on set in the midst of filming. Damn you, Damon. Why do you have to be so good at everything?
