Microsoft Unveils “Gears of War 4” Xbox One S
The design of the console is in line with the custom Gears of War 4 Xbox One Elite controller that Microsoft announced at this year’s E3 Conference. Courtesy of tried and tested insider @ekim_gaf, Microsoft could be prepping two separate bundles for launch with the Xbox One S. The first, a Gears of War 4 bundle, is certainly the most interesting.
Along with its reduced size, the new Xbox One S looks cleaner and more modern than its now-outdated counterpart.
“A lot of people are missing the fact that Xbox One S is a 4K, UHD physical Blu-ray player too”, said Mike Ybarra who works as the director of Xbox program management division. The included controller follows suit with similar coloring and branding, setting itself apart from previously issued Xbox One controllers with a distinct red D-pad and a Gears of War series logo.
Microsoft has yet to announce the limited edition console, but with Gears 4’s release now just a few months away, you should probably expect an official announcement soon. Gears of War 4 is set to drop in October, and because of Microsoft’s cross-plaform policy, it’s making its way over to PC.
In the United States, the JD Fenix controller will be exclusive to the Microsoft Store and GameStop. Both controllers will come with digital items for the game, although specifics on this content aren’t known as of press time. With so much of our hardware bundle Swarm themed, we chose to create a controller around the theme of our Coalition heroes.
Simply put, HDR is a new type of display technology that gives you greater vibrancy in colours and more contrast in pictures – and the Xbox One S is compatible.
The reason for the change is clear, the preview of Cortana for Xbox One has been slow and cumbersome for those using Kinect to control media on the console.
