Police release updated sketch of Phoenix serial killer
The series of shootings in the Phoenix area began in mid-March when a 16-year-old boy who was shot, but not killed, while walking on the street late at night.
“Someone out there knows who did this”, said Police Chief Joe Yahner, according to the Arizona Republic.
March 18, 2016: At approximately 11:30 p.m., a 21-year-old male was shot while standing in the street outside of his vehicle in the area of 4300 N. 73rd Av.
Angela Linner, 31, Stefanie Ellis, 33, and Maleah Ellis, 12, were shot on June 12 outside a home on the street, one of the victims, Stefanie Ellis, died of her injuries this past Thursday.
Phoenix PD has not rejected the option that there could more than one shooter, but as of now, has released a composite drawing of only one suspect-“a light-skinned Latino or white man in his 20s”.
Police have put up a $30,000 reward (£22,500) reward for information that leads to an arrest.
April 1: A 21-year-old man named Diego Verdugo-Sanchez was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting when he was shot from inside his vehicle at 5500 W. Turney Ave. around 9 p.m.
The killing of 55-year-old Krystal Annette White is an additional homicide now listed by police as believed to be linked to the Phoenix killings.
The Phoenix Police Department has been investigating a string of unsolved homicides that have occurred in west Phoenix over the last several months.

There have been no related shootings since June 12.
“I remind people that we are a resilient community”, District 5 Councilman Daniel Valenzuela told community members. A seventh victim in east Phoenix and three other shootings were linked to the shooter at a Tuesday news conference.
Former Phoenix PD Sergeant Andy Hill was the department’s public face for two of the valley’s most high-profile cases, the serial shooters Dale Hausner and Sam Dieteman, who killed 8, and Mark Goudeau sentenced to death in the murders of 9 people.
The victims’ ages range from 12 to 32, including two women and a 12-year-old girl.
