Drew Barrymore Files For Divorce from Will Kopelman

The 41-year-old actress reportedly filed official papers in a Manhattan court in NY on Friday (07.15.16), three months after announcing the end of their four-year marriage. The divorce is characterised in court documents as uncontested, New York Daily News reported.

They seemed to have the flawless relationship so Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman’s split in April came as a surprise.

Barrymore and Kopelman married in 2012 and have two daughters: Olive, 3; and Frankie, 2. “Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on”. She also married comedian Tom Green in July 2001, but he filed for divorce that December.

Barrymore, 41, was married twice before.

But when she appeared on Chelsea Handler’s Netflix talk show in May (16), Drew offered a remarkably candid glimpse into the struggles she’s recently faced. “[But] when you get divorced you’re like, ‘I’m the biggest failure”.

Despite her marriage troubles, Barrymore previously revealed the “strength” and joy she takes from being with her children.

The actress lamented that separating from her husband was never something she saw coming.
