Man Shoots at ‘Pokemon Go’ Players Outside House
Flagler County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a shooting at a house in Palm Coast which reportedly involved the homeowner shooting at two teenagers who were playing Pokemon Go outside. He told deputies that he then stepped in front of the vehicle and ordered the vehicle not to move.
At his sight, the two kids parked in the auto put the pedal to the metal in an effort to escape and catch more Pokémon, when the disgruntled homeowner shot at them.
Authorities said as he approached the auto, the man heard one of the teens ask the other ‘Did you get anything?’
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is using this as an opportunity to advise players to stay as safe as possible while walking around in the real world.

He told the police, according to the Orlando Sentinel, that he had been “sleeping”. In the meantime, they have offered some safety tips for Pokemon GO players, parents of Pokemon GO players and people with guns confused by Pokemon GO players.
The homeowner woke to a loud noise Saturday morning and saw a white vehicle with brake lights on in his driveway.
“Yeah did you?” one of the teens responded, immediately before they heard gunshots and sped away.
Later that morning, the sheriff’s office got a call from a parent who said her 19-year-old son and his 16-year-old friend were playing Pokémon Go when they were confronted by a man who shot at them several times. This should be handled by trained law enforcement officers.
Advice that the Florida police department gave to Pokemon Go players included to use “common sense” and that they should stay aware of their surroundings.
Watch where you are going. The incident allegedly occurred when the two were mistaken for burglars while playing Pokémon Go in their vehicle.
Talk to your kids about strangers and set limits on where your kids can go.
