A third of Cleveland police will have GOP convention duties

If anything, the Republican Party and its hosts in Cleveland are striving mightily to project a sense of normalcy, to assure the faithful that a successful convention is in the works. Prospects include former IN basketball coach Bobby Knight, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and longtime boxing promoter Don King. That makes Maryland’s delegation more resistant to the barrage of proposed rule changes meant to undermine the presumptive nominee on the convention floor in Cleveland.
