‘Game Of Thrones’ Won’t Be Back Until Summer 2017
Season 7 will consist of 7 episodes instead of the usual 10.
Season 6 was the first season of Game of Thrones that passed George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire source material.
The schedule change will take “Thrones” out of the 2017 Emmy race. We’re heading into the final lap. This lines up with comments made by showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss, who had indicated their plan was to wrap the series up with two abbreviated seasons totaling about 13 episodes.
If you take a look at where all of the storylines now are, it seems they are building towards a final battle.
Winter has finally arrived in Westeros, and that means we won’t get to swing by there again until summer.
We now know that it will be seven episodes, something that Benioff and Weiss have hinted for months now.

Winter is here and it means the seasons are getting shorter. That no doubt points to us spending more time there as the battle with the Night King looms. Stay tuned for much more on Game Of Thrones coming very soon!
