Rick Scott stumps for Trump on RNC’s ‘Make America Work Again’ day
Scott Baio, one of the various celebrities speaking at the Republican National Convention, talked with CNN’s Dana Bash tonight after his speech.
When Baio defended that tweet as nothing more than a “joke”, Hall threw his the closing line of his convention speech back at him.
When asked about the controversial tweet, the actor said that “It’s just a picture somebody sent and we sent it out”.
“You can look at it any way you want”, Baio said.
“You want me to be sweet and gentle to a man, a president, who says if they bring a knife to an argument, you bring a gun”.

Scott Baio transitioned from Happy Days in 1984 to Charles in Charge (1984-1990), a sitcom in which he starred with friend Willie Ames.
Baio insisted he “just put it up there” then complained it was “not nice’ of Hall to question his faith”. “Where was your moral compass when you put [this] photo of a woman that you disagree with politically?” I just put it up there. And by “traded jabs”, I mean the star of Joanie Loves Chachi and Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 defended some crude jokes about Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton that he’d recently tweeted.
Hall then categorically denied what she had said, claiming that she hadn’t said it.
In addition to the Clinton tweet, Hall pressed Baio about a separate incident in which the actor tweeted an image of Michelle Obama with a caption reading “Wow”.
“Folks our country right now is in a very bad spot”, Baio said. Why’d you block me from social media?
“Is Donald Trump a messiah? No”.
Hall proceeded to bring up the comment that Donald Trump made about shooting someone on Fifth Avenue and not losing any support.
Then, why the Charles in Charge and Happy Days actor tries to twist Hall’s words around, Hall shuts him down by saying “I do this for a living, you can not chop my words up”.
