Yikes! Man seriously hurt after flying off water slide

The trooper has fearlessly put himself out there with a video showing the exact moment he realised he was, in his own words, “too dang old to be going down water slides”.

The Dallas man suffered broken bones, cuts and bruises, he said Monday.

Thankfully for Salmon, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was able to post the video of the incident to his own Facebook page for the world to see.

The video showed Salmon using his arm to try slowing down as he approached a sharp turn, but it didn’t work. Luckily he did not need surgery.

Salmon, who is from Dallas, said he was expected to return home Tuesday. According to his post, he is recovering at an Austin hotel.

Wrote another, “Super glad it wasn’t worse, David. Fell off this one that is over a rocky cliff”, wrote Salmon on his Facebook post. So sorry you had to endure such a frightening accident.
