Why You Should Get Out to See the Buck Moon Tonight
It’s also referred to as the Thunder Moon due to frequent thunderstorms during the month of July, The Old Farmer’s Almanac said.
A lovely capture of June’s full moon in 2016, known as the “Strawberry Moon”. So avid skywatchers will have plenty of opportunities to look and enjoy the sighting of full buck moon this year.
The moon will reach its peak fullness at 6:57 p.m. ET.
Full moons generally rise once a month – with the exception of a “Blue Moon”, which appears twice in a month – and the variety of names given to these spectacular lunar events stems from ancient cultures, including Native American tribes living in the northeast USA, according to The Farmer’s Almanac.
Tuesday night’s moon watch begins at 7:45 p.m. for an 8:02 p.m. moonrise.
And with a heat wave building, there’s no excuse not to get out and enjoy Tuesday night’s full moon, which is mainly known as the “buck” moon.
So, if the full buck moon this July has you feeling extra motivated, consider taking action to turn big dreams into reality – whether cosmic forces are at work or not, it’s always a good idea to capitalize on positive energy! It will appear full all night.
Oh, but beware of the werewolves!
