Cara Delevingne Thanks John Green for Supporting Her After THAT Interview

Adapted from the bestselling novel by author John Green, Paper Towns is a coming-of-age story centering on Quentin and his enigmatic neighbor Margo, who loved mysteries so much she became one.

She quipped she had “never read the book, or the script. I kind of winged it”, before explaining that she had of course read the book and found it “amazing”.

In an essay he posted to Medium.com, after pointing out that the interviewers at “Good Morning Sacramento” called Delevingne “Carla“, he writes, “I spent more than a month with her on tour in Europe and the U.S., and I watched as again and again, she was asked this question”.

He wrote: “The whole process of commodifying personhood to sell movie tickets is inherently dehumanizing”.

Talking to Hitfix, Green, who also penned last years mega teen weepie The Fault in Our Stars, rose to Delevingnes defense, praising her for refusing to give the same bland answers to the same bland questions actors hear constantly on the press trail. Everyone had opinions about this particular stop on the press tour, some claiming that Delevingne was justifiably annoyed at the unprofessional nature of the interview, while others thought that she was just a brat.

The 22-year-old, who was blasted for being “in a mood” and told to “take a little nap” by the anchors, now says she won’t apologise for simply “being human” and said she’s nothing but appreciative and grateful. “But in that process, you do lose something of your self”. I do not find in that behavior entitled or haughty.

“Cara, however, refuses to stick to the script”, Green wrote.

“I kind of winged it. No, of course, [I did.] John Green is an incredible author, so really if you haven’t read his books, you should”. Cara Delevingne doesnt exist to feed your narrative or your news feed—and thats precisely why shes so f***ing interesting.
