Oklahoma Republicans seek unity at GOP national convention
Foes said they believed the movement was essentially finished.
With New York taking centerstage in this year’s presidential campaign, state Republican leaders are in line for VIP treatment at their party’s Cleveland convention that opens Monday.
It’s a troubling sign for Trump’s candidacy in a state with 18 electoral votes that is historically crucial for Republican nominees. But Trump kept winning primaries and Kasich didn’t, dashing their hopes.
Trump campaign and Republican National Committee officials say they expect to prevent her from accomplishing that.
