Lewandowski takes a shot at Trump campaign manager Manafort
Politico’s Glenn Thrush: “A majority of Americans see the country on the wrong track, for sure, but polls don’t illustrate a population gripped by widespread death-metal doom”. His children have been cared for and mentored to the extent that even his adversaries admit they are an fantastic testament to who he is as a man and a father. They fear for themselves.
“But there is no excuse, none, for assassinating police officers and putting targets on their backs”, he said.
Giuliani, New York City’s Mayor during 9/11, also warned about the dangers of “Islamic Radical Terrorism” saying, “You know who you are, and we are coming to get you”. During his speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland on Monday night, Giuliani invoked a 2004 keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention by then-Sen. Collectively, those speakers made clear that addressing them all is necessary “Make America Safe Again”, the theme of the convention’s opening day. Cadres of staff for the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee fanned out immediately, corralling individual delegates and persuading them to remove their names from the roll-call petitions.
And that saw them descending further into the muck than ever before, peddling not just a dishonestly dystopian vision of this land but deliberately stoking popular fear and dread.
And America should be sick and exhausted of their vicious, nasty campaign.
The attack from Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor, came the day before Republican delegates will hear the acceptance speech of their own nominee for the White House, real-estate mogul Donald Trump.
Fast forward to 2016, when an angry and jittery Republican primary electorate spurned its political class and turned instead to Donald Trump.
“For 30 years, our good people have rightly pleaded for an end to the lawlessness, and for sound immigration policies that are fair and advance the national interest”, he said. “Too often, way too often, our troops are instead are distracted by trivial matters, trivial matters about what words to use, what terminology is politically correct and what bathroom door to open up. War is about winning”.
Florida GOP Chairman Blaise Ingoglia, a state representative from Spring Hill, said, “I think what we’re going to see is a very statesmanlike speech”.
Their grief was real and gripping, there is no arguing that. Many of them have been walking around the streets of this city sporting buttons that read, “Don’t believe the liberal news media!” But she concluded: “A vote for Hillary is putting all our children’s lives at risk”.
After wringing his hands more – including about undocumented immigrants, whom he welcomed in his time leading New York City – Giuliani proclaimed, “There is no next election. I want to live in a country that is based on diversity and compassion, not racism and hate”.
It’s time to make America one again.
So when Giuliani asks as he did Monday night, “Who would trust Hillary Clinton to protect them?”. Or two: she’s mine, guys, spectacular proof that I’m the alpha male in this arena.
