Colts’ Arthur Jones suspended four games for PED use
Colts defensive lineman Arthur Jones has been suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.
While this is the first time Jones has been suspended for PEDs, it is a bit mind-boggling considering what’s been happening with his family. He is the brother of mixed martial arts star Jon “Bones” Jones, who is facing a two-year doping suspension from the UFC. He played in just nine games that season and missed all of last season after suffering torn ligaments in his ankle. In January, Chandler, then with the New England Patriots, went to the police department in Foxboro, Mass. shirtless and disoriented and seeking help.
Jones is eligible to participating in preseason practices and games.
Arthur Jones, a former fifth round pick, signed a 5 year deal worth $33 million in 2014 with the Indianapolis Colts after four years with the Baltimore Ravens. With Henry Anderson, Kendall Langford, and David Parry already on the roster it was unlikely that Jones would start, and Zach Kerr, T.Y. McGill, and Hassan Ridgeway providing depth.
