Cowboys rookie Ezekiel Elliott denies domestic assault accusation
A woman accused former Ohio State Buckeyes running back Ezekiel Elliott of assault, according to a report filed with the Columbus Police Department on Friday.
Four witnesses, including one who was sitting in the vehicle at the time of the alleged incident, also told police that they did not observe an assault, according to the report.
Elliott was the fourth overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
The accuser filed the report on Friday morning (July 22) in Cleveland, Ohio and officers who responded to the scene say that the woman declined medical treatment despite saying she had pain in her wrist.
Police referred the woman to the prosecutor’s office.
The NFL will investigate the matter. Bruised everywhere, mentally and physically abused. He also said he never lived with her.
In the report, a 21-year-old female accuser said Ezekiel Elliott hit her several times inside a parked auto, leaving bruises on her arms. First off, that post does not actually say Elliott’s name in the allegations, though he appears to be the target.
TMZ is reporting that they have obtained a copy of a police report detailing Elliott’s alleged assault of Thompson.
According to the league’s director of NFC Football Communications Randall Liu, Elliott has had the top selling jersey at NFLShop.com since the Cowboys drafted him.
‘So I want each and every one of you girls to step away from domestic violence. You’re worth so much more.
After an interesting offseason, Elliott and the Cowboys open up the season when they host the rival Giants on September 11 in Dallas.
Elliott has told police that the bruises were a result of a bar fight Thompson was involved in.
