LEGEND OF THE SWORD Comic-Con Trailer — KING ARTHUR

Whether he’s giving us an underground boxing tale (Snatch), a twist on a classic detective in old-timey England (Sherlock Holmes), or bringing to life the classic tale of King Arthur, Guy Ritchie makes Guy Ritchie films. Hunnam will appear in-person at Saturday’s Warner Bros. presentation in Hall H, scheduled from 11:30am – 1:30pm. “The two qualities make rather compatible bed companions. Good guys are boring”. Bouncing off last week’s coverage coupled with today’s poster reveal, some form of teaser trailer is all but guaranteed, when we expect to lay eyes on an Arthur that is, to put it lightly, a bit rough around the edges. Hunnam tells EW’s Darren Franich.

Watch the first King Arthur: Legend of the Sword trailer below. Believed to have been a 6th century King, Arthur defended Britain against Saxon invaders. King Arthur represents a different kettle of fish, of course, but the filmmaker did speak about his approach to the source material – Thomas Mallory’s Le Morte d’Arthur, to be specific – only a few days ago.

Starring with Hunnam (FX’s “Sons of Anarchy”) and Oscar nominee Law (“Cold Mountain”, “The Talented Mr. Ripley”) are Astrid Bergès-Frisbey (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”) as Mage; Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (“Blood Diamond”, “In America”) as Bedivere; Aidan Gillen (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”) as Goosefat Bill; and Eric Bana (“Star Trek”) as Arthur’s father, King Uther Pendragon.
