Jennifer Aniston Refuses Mani Cam Request at 2015 SAG Awards

“No thanks!” is what Jennifer Aniston said when asked to flaunt her fingernails at the red carpet mani cam while other actresses often tread their immaculate fingernails at award shows.

At the 2015 Star Actors Guild Awards held on 25^th Jan at L.A’s Shrine Auditorium, the Cake actress turned down Maria Menounos’ request to show off her stylish look and rings. The actress, 45, responded “no, no, no” along with a GIF-worthy reaction at the request. She wore Fred Leighton jewels and accredited her tan to “Cabos San Lucas.”

Orphan’s Black actress Tatiana Maslany and Still Alice’s Julianne Moore refused the mani cam too, with Moore saying “Oh, I’m not doing that”. But Lisa Rinna derived a kick due to these awkward moments and followed it on Twitter along with tweeting “Bless you @tatianamaslany. You are my hero. #refusedthemanicam #SagAward #ERedCarpet.”

Friends alum Aniston, dressed in a cleavage displaying gold vintage Galliano dress, instead discussed her drama Cake. She described the experience as refreshing and described it as going back to class, with the enthusiasm of delving into the character and then not expecting it to turn as big as it did. She mentioned the whole cast was shocked and had a ball with Cake.

On being quizzed about not working out for the Cake role she said that initially she was thrilled but lack of a workout affected her sleep, stamina and mood a few weeks later.

Astonishingly, Aniston was overlooked for an Oscar nomination but she admitted to having enjoyed the awards season nevertheless. At the start of the month, she created headlines at the Critic’s Choice Awards red carpet, when she grasped Kate Hudson’s derriere and joked about it at the SAG red carpet saying “I should have known better. Poor thing! It was irresistible!”

At the SAG Awards Aniston is nominated in the Outstanding Performance By a Female Actor in a Leading Role Category for her performance in Cake.
