Comic-Con 2016: New Spider-Man: Homecoming concept art
Oh, and there’s also apparently a bit where Peter watches his own fight against Giant-Man from Captain America: Civil War on YouTube while in a lesson, which sounds kind of flawless.
Scripted by Vacation writers and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, Spider-Man: Homecoming will, according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, feature characters from throughout the MCU. Check out a brief description below.
Further confirmation of Vulture’s inclusion in the Sony/Marvel movie is the following concept art.
It’s truly excellent footage, and while Marvel often touts that they’re creating superhero movies through genre lenses, Spider-Man: Homecoming looks to be one of the greatest successes in that regard – a full-fledged high school comedy that just happens to focus on Spider-Man. For more on Spider-Man: Homecoming, keep it locked to IGN. Starting with Math, one of Pete’s rivals fails to answer a question correctly. Cut to Peter jumping onto a movie truck, now donning his iconic Spider-Man suit as he climbs up a wall, and more. Bad Reputation plays, and shots of high school.
Debuting in 1963’s The Amazing Spider-Man #2, Vulture was the second super villain who Spider-Man faced in the comics, preceded by The Chameleon. That’s when the footage races into the action.
Oh yeah, there’s one last shot – of the Vulture, in high tech gear with mask, mechanical claws on his feet and jet propellers inside his wings – diving down toward the screen. Fans lucky enough to be present described the still unreleased clip as amusing and exciting-with the reveal that the Vulture will be the main villain and played by Michael Keaton.
