First ‘Justice League’ footage highlights the humor
Maybe it was all the criticism that Zack Snyder got from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
(Facebook/DCFilmsOfficial)A promotional photo of “Justice League” unveiled at the Comic-Con.
The DC Comics film, which is due for release in November 2017, is set to rival Marvel’s Avengers movies, which also feature an ensemble cast of superhero characters.
Ben Affleck reprised his role as Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman, while Gal Gadot is back as Wonder Woman.
Fans were treated to a raft of first look trailers from Warner Bros.as well as new promos for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Suicide Squad. Notably, her outfit is looking a little bit brighter and more in keeping with her comic-book inspiration, which is nice after the dour palette of Batman vs Superman. And with the almost-comical interaction between Ben Affleck‘s Batman and Ezra Miller’s Flash, it looks as though “Justice League” will add a much-needed lighter touch to DC’s superhero universe.
“We’re going to see leaders with different styles and how they work – some benevolent and some not so benevolent”, teased executive producer Gale Anne Hurd. Arguably having the most screen time throughout the trailer, we see Barry Allen conversing with Bruce Wayne and just from that conversation, we can already see that he’ll add that humor and wit to the film.
As if yet there’s no sign of J.K. Simmons’ Commissioner Gordon, Amber Herd’s Mera or anyone else, but we’ll take this for now.
Fans of Wonder Woman’s dramatic, suited-up entrance in “Batman v Superman” will be happy to know that Hans Zimmer’s popular Wonder Woman theme has followed Diana to this film.
