Xbox One 500 GB price drops again to $249 in the US
To make room on brick and mortar (and online) store shelves, Microsoft is once again cutting the price of the current Xbox One to drive sales.
The 500GB Xbox One is now priced at $250, although as Microsoft states on its blog, this will be for a limited time only and it will be while stocks last. Take notice that we said “every” Xbox One 500 GB console as this goes for the various bundles available right now. The price cut applies to all 500GB versions of Xbox One including bundles like the white Quantum Break bundle, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and the Name Your Game bundle.
Xbox One S Price: A 2TB version is available for launch in $399.
New Xbox one S has few added features one it would be smaller than this version, second it won’t be having any external power supply.
This is the third price cut for the console in less than two months, as pointed out by The Verge.
In terms of value, $249 for an Xbox One with a game is about as good as it gets.
Now Gamespot is also reporting that GameStop is escalating the deal with a 1TB Xbox One console for $239.99.
It is very likely that Microsoft will stop producing original Xbox One units after supplies have sold out. The Xbox One S also support 4K videos, but only if it is connected to a 4K television. As many players leave their Microsoft Xbox account without accessing for years, the intention behind launching new strategy is to free up the gamer tags of Microsoft that have not been used since long years.
Customers will be able to buy the recently cheapened “Xbox One” from Best Buy, Amazon, and other retailers, according to The Verge. Starting on September 15, if you have an Xbox Live account and don’t log in during the next five years, you’ll have to kiss your precious Gamertag goodbye.
