Mary J Blige files for divorce

Blige was searching for “Real Love” and we knew she found it when she married, husband/manager Kendu Isaacs 12 years ago.

The No More Drama hitmaker, who Wednesday Isaacs in 2003, has filed divorce papers, citing irreconcilable differences for the split.

“He always has my back-he’s going to fight to the death for Mary J Blige”, Blige said of her husband.

As for the reason for the split, Mary J. listed the fairly standard “irreconcilable differences” as the factor. Blige has asked the judge to block Isaacs from receiving spousal support.

Although the now-former couple has no children, things could become tumultuous, as they have no prenuptial agreement. “The document does not say if there is a prenup”, the site mentions.

The “Family Affair” singer married Issacs back in 2003 at her home in Bergen County, New Jersey. The pair had a special relationship with Isaacs being Blige’s husband, but also working for the star as her manager. Mary J. Blige was caught hitting Kendu at a release party at M2 in NY. “And you have to respect each other’s space”.

She said: “All females for me, all guys for him”. “There’s none of that, “Oh, that’s my female friend”, or, ‘Oh, that’s my guy friend.’ No, not in a marriage”.

Blige’s marriage to Isaacs was never one for the tabloids.
