Nintendo NX to Work With Smartphone Games
Nintendo’s upcoming game console could be a hybrid-style device, connecting with TVs for big-screen gaming and capable of being used on the go.
The Nintendo NX is a handheld gaming console with detachable controllers.
The NX will also reportedly use a base or dock station to connect the console to TV screens. So lets hope the new Zelda game and Nintendo NX console and take the company back to where it belongs and back in to the black. On Tuesday, we saw Eurogamer release a host of information about Nintendo’s next console including it being a handheld with detachable controllers and powered by Nvidia’s Tegra processor.
A recent Nintendo NX article written by the Wall Street Journal has cast new doubt on what exactly the Nintendo NX will be. After all, it’s always hard to predict exactly what Nintendo will do, as they’ve parted ways with the normal console approach of Sony and Microsoft.
This is according to “a number of sources” cited by Eurogamer, but the apparent confirmation matches rumours and presumptions that have been rattling around the games industry for over a year.
Virtual Console will be a dream come true, and I never even had to buy into the New Nintendo 3DS Super Nintendo line-up. The NX will also support digital downloads. In line with this, Nintendo recommends fans to use a 32GB cartridge as most games contain large file sizes.
One source has told Eurogamer that there are no plans for backwards compatibility given the radical change in hardware design and internal technology. As such, this report remains a rumor until Nintendo confirms otherwise. “As such [we’re] unable to comment on the various rumors and speculations circulating”.
While there’s still no reveal date set quite yet, the sources claimed that Nintendo is preparing for a showing in September to help promote the launch of March 2017.
