Internet star Hayes Grier hospitalized after car crash

A popular social media personality is recovering in hospital after he was involved in a auto crash.

The 16-year-old, famous for his Vine videos, was involved in a vehicle wreck on Thursday and suffered a number of injuries, including two broken ribs and a bruised lung, his brother, Nash Grier told fans via Twitter.

She said: “I can confirm that Hayes was involved in an accident and has been transported to a local hospital”.

A spokeswoman for the 16-year-old social media star says Hayes is “under great care” at a hospital in North Carolina. “He is under great care”.

“Nash also asked fans to pray for his brother, tweeting, “#PrayforHayes Just got a call on set that said Hayes was in a crash.

Hayes’ brother, Nash Grier, took to Twitter, following the accident and posted a text he received from family friend Johnny Floyd. “Praying he has a quick recovery”, Nash Grier tweeted about his brother. “Luckily no major stuff”, the message read. All scans come back negative for any internal bleeding. He now has 3.53 million Twitter followers, 5.3 million Instagram followers, 4.4 million Vine followers and 848,000 YouTube subscribers. The famous teen was introduced to the rest of the world as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars last fall.
