Debra Messing, Blake Shelton spar over presidential campaign
Blake recalls, “She didn’t tell me much, because we didn’t know each other at the time, but she said, ‘I’m going through something very similar to what you’re going through”.
As Cosmopolitan points out, Donald Trump’s refusal to be “politically correct” has made him popular with sexists and white supremacists.
In another tweet toward Messing – and to address the public as a whole – Shelton clarified that his quote about wishing there was another option is “across the board… period”.
The controversy began with the publication of a new Billboard interview with Shelton in which he was asked about a conservative website claiming he supports the controversial Republican presidential candidate.
Messing went straight to Shelton’s leading lady to urge her to try and coax her man not to give Trump his vote.
A celebrity feud has been averted after Debra Messing apologized to Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani for her political tweet.
Heated over reading Shelton’s revelation, Messing-a longtime Clinton supporter-lashed out on Twitter, directing a message to The Voice coach’s girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. Reports reveal that Miranda’s (unconfirmed) pregnancy will be the one way she will finally get her revenge against ex-husband Blake Shelton.
Blake wrote, “Hey before this gets going like it always does…”
If that sounds like an endorsement to you, get a grip: Blake Shelton is not enforcing anyone for president. And I’m not going to. I don’t do that sh*t.
“Now go dig up another story”, the 40-year-old Oklahoma native wrote. But Blake didn’t endorse Donald and is staying neutral in this election and his fans called her out, causing Debra to issue a Twitter apology on July 28 reading, “Ok – I regret commenting”. “When you have a broken heart – at least, when I do – you got to get it out of your system”.
As for his split from Lambert, Shelton told Billboard magazine that “you can learn some facts of my divorce” just by listening to his latest album, “If I’m Honest”.
