Microsoft will make Cortana mandatory in Anniversary Update
Many computer users have upgraded from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10 as part of Microsoft’s free upgrade offer, which ends on Friday.
When the Anniversary Update rolls out to current November Update users, there will no longer be a way to block the obnoxious ads that automatically pin themselves to your PCs start menu when you start it for the first time. The Windows 10 free upgrade window closes at the end of today, July 29.
Microsoft released Windows 10 exactly a year ago, with the company’s chief executive Satya Nadella hailing the launch as a “new era” for PC users.
Yes, I use assistive technologies and I am ready for my free upgrade to Windows 10.
“If I wanted Windows 10, I’d buy a new computer with the operating system pre-installed”, says marketing communications consultant Kenny Gordvyn Mariapragasam. You might be glad you did.
Just accept Microsoft’s offer of a free Windows 10 update via the Windows 10 upgrade tool, and then wait for the installation to complete.
