Uncle of Floyd Mayweather Jr. reported missing in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Missing Persons Detail has issued an alert for Roger Mayweather.
The Mayweather Boxing Club is located nearby at 4020 Schiff Drive.
Las Vegas police say the uncle and longtime trainer of boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been found safe after being missing overnight.
Metro Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Roger Mayweather, uncle of Floyd Mayweather.
The biography also detailed his struggle with diabetes.
Retiring from fighting in 1999, Mayweather has shared the ring with the likes of former world champions Julio Cesar Chavez, Pernell Whitaker, Vinny Pazienza and Kostya Tszyu. He was replaced by Floyd’s father and original trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr.
In recent years, Roger had to step away from training Mayweather and working his corner due to health concerns.
Roger Mayweather, who is 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds, was wearing a white shirt, blue sweatpants and white tennis shoes when he disappeared. The station reported that he might suffer from a medical condition and need medication.
