Chelsea Clinton will testify to her mother’s credentials

At her father’s 1992 nominating convention, a campaign aide suggested that Chelsea, then 12, introduce her dad after the biographical video with a simple: “Ladies and gentleman, the next president of the United States, my dad, Bill Clinton”.

One daughter loves and knows her parent for who she is; the other seems to view him as a distant figurehead who tells, not shows.

It would appear that politics are simply too pervasive (and vital) right now to not slip into the previously neutral friendship.
