J.K. Rowling won’t be writing more Harry Potter
Unfortunately, author J.K. Rowling says that with the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child this weekend, “Harry is done now”.
She then continued by saying, “This is the next generation, you know”. Mary Taylor of Puke Ariki library said all of their Harry Potter books were wearing “invisibility cloaks”. The book was written by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany.
Midnight book release parties across the country like the one at Barnes & Noble in Fargo are drawing legions of devoted followers. The play is set 19 years later and follows Potter and his son Albus Severus as he goes off to his father’s alma mater, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
“Basically they turned Kensington into Diagon Alley which is a big wizarding street in Harry Potter and not all of the businesses but quite a few of them are in on it”.
It looks like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be a boon for book sales, just like the first seven books in the series.
Lewis, who is a fan of the boy wizard herself, said she watched in awe as copies of the book flew off the shelves on Monday afternoon. And if this play and the spin-off movies are truly the last we’ll all see from Harry, Ron and Hermione, at least we’ll always have JK Rowling on Twitter.
Scores of people, mostly families, flocked to Waterstones in Maidstone’s Fremlin Walk last night to be among the first to grab a copy of the new Harry Potter book.
So until Eddie Redmayne takes over the series’ spinoff flick Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them on November 18, we’ll be under the covers clutching our books.
Coming nearly 10 years after the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, ‘ fans have been eager to find out what Harry Potter has been up to after all these years and all grown up.
