Rose settled for a share of sixth at St Andrews but that run boosted his confidence as well with the PGA Championship just two weeks away at Whistling Straits. That could only mean one of two things: either Woods is finally ready to seek out answers instead of explanations or he’s exhausted of trying to convince us and himself that things are getting better inside the ropes. I’ve gone through this and unfortunately sometimes I have to get a little bit worse before I can make a giant stride to get forward and go getter. We’re seeing that more and more.
