Misty Copeland Ties the Knot with Olu Evans
Ballerina Misty Copeland married her longtime partner Olu Evans on Sunday (31Jul16). The pair tied the knot on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach. News that the wedding was “small and intimate” with only 100 guests. Misty wore an Inbal Dror dress with shoes designed by Christian Louboutin, and according to an insider who spoke to E!

Sources told Page Six in June that Copeland and Evans wanted to Wednesday in July and have been planning their big day for some time.
Misty Copeland is now married. Pink and white roses and pink hydrangeas filled the gorgeous space, reminiscent of Misty’s ballerina getups. Copeland made history in 2015 when she became the first African-American female principal dancer for the American Ballet Theater.
“I feel like I get to become a fairy princess on stage”, she said.
The toned stunner explained how she was aiming for an understated, “romantic and elegant” wedding gown. “I don’t think I want to go super poofy or anything like that. I just want it to be simple and classy and not feel like I’m in a tutu”.
And as a bit of a fun fact, Olu Evans just so happens to be Taye Diggs’ cousin.
