Birmingham City: Jon Toral signs on loan from Arsenal

Jon Toral has completed a season-long from Arsenal to Birmingham City.

The Spanish worldwide showed promise in his first loan season, scoring six goals in 34 appearances for the Bees, and he figures to become even more unsafe on the field with more experience.

The youngster joined Arsenal from Barcelona’s La Masia academy back in 2011, making the trip with Hector Bellerin. He has come up through the youth ranks, representing the north London club in the 2012/13 Next Gen Series and the 2013/14 Uefa Youth League.

Last season he was on loan at Brentford and despite injury problems he did well under Mark Warburton with his highlight coming with a hat-trick against Blackpool. The midfielder has expressed his delight at joining the Championship club and is keen on helping the club have a successful season.

“I thought about it for a few days and realised it was the best option and I am very happy that we can make it”.

Midfielder Shinnie’s new deal will keep him at St Andrew’s until June 2018.
