BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) Sabres forward Evander Kane has pleaded not guilty in Buffalo City Court to charges alleging he grabbed three women during an altercation at a downtown bar in June.
When Kane appeared in court Monday morning, his attorney Paul Cambria pleaded “not guilty” for him. Judge Barbara Johnson-Lee scheduled his next court date for September 9. Cambria called the allegations “extremely exaggerated” while saying his client “denies strenuously any wrongdoing”.
Kane was changed with misdemeanor criminal trespassing, non-crimnal disorderly conduct and four counts of non-criminal harassment.
Kane is also now under investigation for harassing three women at a Buffalo bar. Police said two women accused Kane of trying to push them into his auto during two separate incidents around 3 a.m. He scored 20 goals and added 15 assists in 65 games last season.
