Samsung reveals Galaxy Note 7 for August 19
Beyond that, though, the updates in the Note 7 are mostly enhancements, such as a stronger glass screen and more storage – 64 gigabytes, with a slot to add more. The battery on the Galaxy Note 7 is a 3500mAh battery, up from the 3000mAh one used in the Galaxy Note 5 smartphone.
Though both handsets have dual-curved display, the Note 7’s curved screen is more pronounced and with less sloping than the screen of the S7 Edge, as pointed out by CNET. Samsung Pay transactions can also be authenticated via the new retinal technology.
Samsung also unveiled a new version of its Gear VR headset, which the company says should be more comfortable to wear.
The preorders for the Galaxy Note 7 in Australia are scheduled to open on August 5. But the Note 7 can also use an iris scanner for authentication, which works when the phone is wet, and the S Pen lets you scribble on the screen or use it when the phone is underwater. The iris scanner can also unlock personal data, including apps, notes, photos, that has been placed in a secure container away from the rest of the phone’s data.
Note 7 is the first Note phone that uses USB-C charging, and the first Galaxy device with HDR10 video playback.

It has a magnifying loupe, quick text translation tool and a new tool that makes it easy to create GIFs from any video that’s now playing. You get a design that is a look-alike of the Galaxy S7 Edge, but as usual, the S Pen stylus is there to bring out the Note’s uniqueness.
The Galaxy Note 7 has a larger display than the Galaxy S7.
The Galaxy Note 7 is available for pre-order now, but if you’re wavering between Android and iOS, you might want to wait a bit.
