Girl in Montana Amber Alert may be in Washington, FBI says
Authorities have found a Montana teenager who had been missing since early Wednesday.
An AMBER Alert is out for Sandy Moore, 16, of Sheridan, Montana.
Moore is believed to have been abducted from her home in Shelby by Rodney Zahn, a 60-year-old convicted violent felon.
No other information was released.
The trailer is a 19-foot Terry brand trailer fifth-wheel with unknown plate.
Moore is described as a white girl, 5-foot-7 and 116 pounds with glasses, brown eyes and brown hair.
“Zahn is 60 years old, 5’5”, 135 pounds, with brown eyes, gray and brown short hair, a tattoo on his arm of the Tasmanian Devil, and a tattoo on his left hand of cross. According to the Amber Alert, Moore is mentally delayed. Law enforcement posted a photo Thursday of a black 1987 Ford pickup – Montana license plate 3-50558B – with a white toolbox and green bicycle in back. It is believed Sandy was taken from her residence during the night by Zahn.
They are possibly en route to Billings or Boise.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office in Wyoming said Zahn was taken into custody.
