In Uttar Pradesh, the family of expelled BJP leader has lodged a case against BSP leaders for abusing and publicly tarnishing the dignity of his female family members while protesting.
Meanwhile, BJP workers in Lucknow attempted to ghearo the Chief Ministers residence and the collectorate office.
Daya Shankar Singh’s mother said her daughter has been traumatised by the nasty words inflicted on her. “If his wife would have condemned her husband then the anger of our supporters would have dissipated, but they did not take any such step and my supporters wanted to retort in same language”.
Reacting to the news of FIR, Senior BSP leader Nasimuddin Siddiqui asked, “What wrong has BSP done? Mayawati is selling tickets like…”, BJP Vice President Dayashankar Singh told reporters in Mau.
Jha said that police raided the house of Singh’s uncle at Bariya last night, but nothing was found.
BJP leader Singh was well known that his could create trigger a strong reaction and riot. Demanding the arrest of the BJP leader, she warned the government that she will not be responsible if people hit the streets over the issue. “His (Singh’s) remarks apply for his sister and daughter and not for me”.
Balia Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Jha said that their efforts to locate and nab Singh would continue.
Siddiqui however, justified calling Singh a “dog”, saying that the kind of derogatory language he used against the BSP chief, is used only by a beast and not by a human.
