Rare Replay could get even more games
During a special Twitch livestream of Rare Replay yesterday, Rare’s lead engineer James Thomas said that whittling down the company’s vast back catalogue to just 30 titles for inclusion in the compilation was incredibly hard. Players will get access to classics like Snake, Rattle, and Roll, Sabre Wulf, and Battletoads to newer entries like Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, and Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise.
Rare took their time deciding which games to include in the Rare Replay collection, even if it went against personal choices of some team members.
It’s not quite everything though and it seems Rare could add more titles later on as post-launch DLC. For fans that wanted to experience the game in its most authentic form, Rare Replay included a CRT filter that re-creates the vintage effect of playing on a really old television. “We hope we’ve done [that], but you never know, there could be space for more”.
There are large number of games that didn’t make it into the game due to licensing issues.
You will be able to revisit your favorite worlds August 4 when Rare Replay releases for $29.99 US (€29.99/£19.99/$49.95 AU) exclusively for Xbox One.
