Pulse gunman hit by 8 bullets in police shoot-out
Family members of the victims of the Orlando massacre finally have some answers as to what happened inside Pulse nightclub two months ago, as 31 of the victims’ autopsy reports were released on Friday.
Florida released autopsy reports on Friday for 31 of the 49 people killed at Pulse nightclub in Orlando in one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern U.S. history.
The autopsy results of the gunman, Omar Mateen, have also been released.
The Medical Examiner’s office plans to release the remaining victims’ autopsies in increments, resuming Monday morning and expecting to be finished by Wednesday night.
Orlando terrorist Omar Mateen was shot eight times from a distance, according to the autopsy report released late Friday by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The autopsy found no trace of alcohol in Mateen’s system. Officers shot Mateen at 5:07 a.m., after authorities breached a back wall, reports the Sentinel.
He adds: “There’s been some criticism of the Orlando police for taking three hours to make their final assault – something the Justice Department is now reviewing”.
This guy saved 70 people in Orlando shootings. The medical examiner report apparently does not specify the cause of the increased creatine levels, however. The placing of the shots varied; some people were wounded in the head, while others were shot in the torso, and still others were struck in their arms, neck or lower extremities.
An anabolic steroid analysis, which is not commonly part of a routine toxicology test, suggests investigators may have had questions about Mateen’s use of steroids.
