Officials seek cause of concert railing collapse
More than 40 people were injured when a railing gave way during a concert at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden Friday night, according to county dispatch.
The railing separated fans from a sloping lawn near the concert area.
An eyewitness told the paper that about 50 people fell about 10 feet (3 meters) onto concrete.
The person who suffered the most serious injuries when a railing collapsed during a Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa concert in New Jersey has been released from a hospital.
Snoop and Wiz are now on the road together for Merry Jane Presents Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa: The High Road Tour, which brought them to Camden’s BB&T Pavilion on Friday night.
The incident occurred Friday night at the BB&T Pavilion, an amphitheater in Camden, fire officials said.
One person remained hospitalized and engineers were trying to figure out what happened at Camden’s BB&T Pavilion, an outdoor venue with an indoor seating section and open lawn seating.
Security can be seen hurrying the rappers off the stage, and Snoop can be heard telling the crew to cut the music with, “That’s enough of that”.
Several videos shared with NBC10 shows dozens of people tumbling on top of each other.

Concertgoer Katie Colbridge said the show, which was about halfway finished, stopped abruptly when the accident happened.
An announcer urged the audience to remain calm as police and medics responded to the scene to tend to the injured. Past names for the facility include the Tweeter Center and Susquehanna Bank Center.
