You liked Windows 10 so much, you’ll get 2 more in 2017
“As the November Update wasn’t really that noteworthy as expected, Microsoft again nearly before one year, has again geared up with the third installment of the OS which launched yesterday as ‘Windows 10 Anniversary Update”.
The rumor is the first update, codenamed “Redstone 2” will release before spring, and may do so alongside updates to the Surface Pro and Surface Book.
Redstone is reported to contain features that didn’t make it into the Anniversary Update.
As part of this week’s Windows Holographic news, Microsoft announced it’s expanding HoloLens Development Edition to all developers and business customers in the USA and Canada. Microsoft is not planning another major update this year.
The Anniversary Update lets you pin a window so that it’s available on every desktop.
It was been a year since Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) launched Windows 10 to the masses.
Microsoft has revamped the entire set of Windows emojis in the Anniversary Update to be more inclusive, detailed, expressive, and playful. The first one is Threshold 2.
According to a number of user reports, the company is once again issuing tips in its Windows 10 notifications system alerting users to Google Chrome’s battery usage. And to be able to release a final build in early 2017, Microsoft will probably start testing the next builds with Fast Ring Insiders in the coming weeks or so(I’m excited!!). The company is now expanding on several of the operating system’s key features, including synchronisation between PC and mobile, Cortana, integration with the Xbox One and Windows Hello biometric authentication.
In a new blog post, Microsoft revealed that Redstone is the last major feature update planned for 2016. Those users won’t even see Windows 10 version 1607 until August 16. Some of this work is likely to contribute to the upcoming Redstone releases, keeping consumers engaged with Windows 10 through regular free updates.
There’s a lot to like about the Anniversary Update, and we’re eager to hear if you’ve installed it on your PCs yet.
