Rustom Subject Will Save Marriages, Stop Divorces: Akshay Kumar

In a promotional event for “Rustom”, the 48-year-old actor revealed, “My look in the movie, especially my moustaches is inspired by my managers’ father, who is a Parsi. In fact, it felt like a Parsi wedding, the scene is very real”, he said. On what is new in “Rustom” as there are several films made in the past taking cue from real life incident of naval officer K M Nanavati, Kumar said this film’s screenplay has taken 4-5 incidents to make one story.

Borrowing a line from the film which was delivered by Akshay Kumar himself, Sidharth Malhotra appreciated the senior star in the video saying, “Wah Wah kya dialogue hain but no one can do it better that you Akshay Paaji”.

When asked about what he’d like to take from the film, he said, “I am going to take my uniform. So, this film is going to tell you what goes into it”.

Salman Khan shared a video on his twitter urging his fans to watch his friend’s Rustom-e-hind in theatres.

Rustom, also starring Ileana D’Cruz and Esha Gupta, releases on August 12.

Karan Johar known in the industry for his sarcasm has also come out to support the film’s promo campaign by posting a video on his pouting skills as the navy officer costume that Akshay sent him didn’t end up fitting him after all! It is nice to see the whole fraternity coming together and doing this.
