Christopher Biggins removed from CBB house for ‘offensive language’
Christopher Biggins is at the centre of more shocking Celebrity Big Brother revelations about why he was kicked out of the house.
According to Digital Spy, Biggins claimed that AIDS is a “bisexual disease” in a conversation with Renee where they discussed the history of the LGBT community in yesterday’s episode.
The TV and pantomime star, who is gay, said: “I think the worst type though is, I’m afraid to say, the bisexuals”.
“I’m very sorry and I’m very sad”, he responded.
The comments, which the TV network chose not to air, reportedly concerned former The X Factor contestant Waissel, with Biggins said to have left her in tears when he allegedly made the offensive joke as the pair chatted.
“I love Jewish people”.
Biggins agreed, adding that he felt some people claiming to be LGBT were trying to be “trendy”.
Viewers have since learnt that he also made further problematic comments about bisexual people, after sparking a viewer backlash earlier this week when he branded them “the worst type”.
He said: “I found Katie [Waissel] and said “I am mortified”.
Christopher Biggins has broken his silence following his removal from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house, insisting he is sorry for his controversial remarks.
Over the years, what we’ve learned is that there are some clear differences when it comes to the American and British versions of “Big Brother” when it comes to what you tolerate and don’t tolerate within the house.
Lee Chappy, the man who famously looks like the Leicester and England man, seems to have backed the under-fire Biggins on his official Twitter account.
Christopher Biggins has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house after he made comments “capable of causing great offence”.
As housemates queued for the bathroom on Monday in a moment which was not broadcast, Biggins admits to having said: “You better be careful or they’ll be putting you in a shower and taking you to a room”.
It later transpired he had made a comment alluding to the Holocaust to fellow housemate Katie Waissel, and described Aids as “a bisexual disease” that was “man-made”.
United States pop star Aubrey O’Day was issued a warning for spitting in Stephen Bear’s sandwich on Wednesday.
In the meantime though, there has been much speculation that as Biggins was removed from the house, he has forfeited the fee he would have been paid otherwise.
