Going into Day 3 of the 2016 Summer Olympics, the Americans have earned the most medals – 12 in total – with China and Italy trailing behind with eight and seven respectively. The women’s team will go up against Spain at 11 a.m., while the men play Venezuela at 6 p.m.
The United States men face Canada at 5:05 p.m. and defending champion Russian Federation follows against Cuba at 8:30 p.m. before the Iranian men make their Olympic debut.
Medals will be awarded in the women’s and men’s 100 meter backstroke, at 10:30 p.m. and 10:38 p.m., respectively. Women in Iran complained they could not attend games in their country.
