Britney Spears rides with James Corden for Carpool Karaoke
One day before she releases her new album later this month, pop singer Britney Spears will join James Corden for a round of Carpool Karaoke on “The Late Late Show”.
Kanye West may be having a little trouble keeping a mobile musical date with James Corden, but not Britney Spears. Spears’ segmentis slated to air on August 25.
Just last month, First Lady Michelle Obama joined Corden for a drive around the grounds of the White House, where the pair sang songs by Stevie Wonder and Beyonce in a clip that has amassed almost 39 million views in only three weeks.
Over the years Spears has won six Billboard Music Awards and Billboard’s Millennium Award, which recognizes outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry, as well as an American Music Award and the 2011 MTV Video Vanguard Award.
It’s going to be hard for Britney to top this performance.
But judging from previous contenders, we can expect a mix of Spears’ greatest hits, as well as some of her personal favourites from other artists – and perhaps even a special guest. The show’s post-Super Bowl broadcast delivered the highest ratings, with any host, since the show’s inception in 1995.
