Welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on the atrocities being carried out on the people ofBalochistan and Pak-occupied Kashmir (PoK) by Pakistan at the all-party meeting on the Kashmir issue, Press Club of India (PCI) president Rahul Jalali on Saturday said it is high time the world knows about what is happening in the region.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi has asked for suggestions from the citizens of India on what he should include in his speech on Independence Day, through his newly launched mobile application “Namo”.
Modi said: “The endurance, determination & dedication of every Indian athlete who is in Rio makes us very proud”. The security expert insisted that the Indian position has never been correctly articulated by successive governments.
“Apart from India and Pakistan, this issue should be and must be resolved by both the Kashmirs, the Kashmir rightfully governed by India and the other Kashmir illegally occupied by Pakistan”, he said. Talking about the atrocities by Pakistan, he said that, “Pak has never complied with worldwide rules, they’re killing Baloch people”. PM said he’s happy that all parties have spoken in one voice on Kashmir.
Kashmir has been on the boil for more than a month with at least 58 killed and thousands wounded during protests against Wani’s killing.
